Portion does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your journal is yours — it lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account, and we never see it.
Nothing. Portion has no backend server, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no account system. We have no way to identify you, and we don't try to.
Journal entries are stored as Markdown files in your personal iCloud Drive container. They are synced by Apple's iCloud infrastructure under your Apple ID — the same way Notes, Pages, and other Apple apps work. We have no access to these files at any time.
Your translation choice, reading plan, and preferences are stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud Key-Value Storage (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). This data never passes through our servers because we don't have any.
The King James Version (KJV) and Berean Standard Bible (BSB) are bundled directly inside the app. No network request is made to fetch scripture.
Portion does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
